Commenting on the results, Beatrix Anton-Grönemeyer, Chief Sustainability Officer at AllianzGI, said:
“These results are a significant achievement, reflecting a sustained team effort across the firm and further cement our position as one of the industry’s responsible investment pioneers. It is particularly pleasing to see our efforts to integrate ESG in equities being recognised, showing that our work to integrate ESG across all asset classes on our global investment platform is bearing fruit.
“More and more clients share our conviction that ESG factors influence investment performance and that as active manager we are better placed to act as stewards of their assets than passive index trackers. The global, technology-enabled collaboration among our investment professionals continues to grow our institutional knowledge about material E, S & G risks, benefitting our clients’ portfolios.”
