The launch of the Allianz Euro Core fund is the latest expansion to AllianzGI’s market leading infrastructure debt platform. Since 2014, AllianzGI has managed pooled Sterling vehicles alongside large SMA’s to give small and large investors access to a large pipeline of infrastructure debt investments, which provide the long term stable cash flows that institutional clients look for.
Commenting, Claus Fintzen, CIO, infrastructure debt, said:
"This latest fund launch provides yet another access route to the unique cash-flows available to investors through our market-leading infrastructure debt platform. With over 65 transactions in 17 countries under our belt, investor demand for this new fund underlines how investing in infrastructure debt has quickly become an integral part of institutional investor allocations."
The fund will invest across Europe in all core infrastructure sectors, including transport, regulated utilities and renewables. Aimed at investors who prefer a smaller ticket size, the fund will co-invest with our existing Allianz Group companies and third party accounts.
AllianzGI’s infrastructure debt offering is a core component of AllianzGI’s Alternatives pillar. Alternatives is one of the four pillars of AllianzGI’s global investment platform, alongside Equities, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset. With assets under management having grown strongly since the launch of the Alternatives pillar in 2014, today Allianz Global Investors manages over EUR 70 billion of Alternative assets on behalf of institutional and retail investors around the globe.
