Treasury solutions
A “win by not losing” approach to portfolio management – focused on capital preservation – is key to navigating risk successfully for treasury investors. However, with low or even negative returns from cash and money market funds, treasurers’ need to think carefully when investing for return. At Allianz Global Investors, we take a global approach to fixed income investing to provide treasury investors with increased opportunity for yield enhancement, whilst still prioritising capital preservation through diversification, in a world of low cash and money market rates.

Working with treasury investors
Our treasury solutions are designed to provide investors with a return profile meaningfully in excess of cash deposit rates. Through applying a “liquidity ladder lens” investors can think about their time horizon for actual deployment of capital and invest to deliver higher risk-managed returns. For example, immediate liquidity needs should be invested differently from strategic liquidity that may be retained for several quarters, or years. At AllianzGI our core investment process is supplemented by strict liquidity, drawdown and cost considerations to help investors achieve enhanced yield whilst still preserving the liquidity of their treasury portfolios. We have the capability to offer treasury clients both mutual funds and bespoke offerings with customisable volatility and liquidity parameters to target a specific risk-versus-return profile.

Investing involves risk. The value of an investment and the income from it may fall as well as rise and investors might not get back the full amount invested.
